Success at Sea Japan 2018!

Monday, 16 April 2018 | 16:00

Thank you to all those who visited our display at Sea Japan in Tokyo last week. We were pleased to engage with many visitors and there was certainly a lot of interest in our renewable energy technologies for shipping. We were also asked by many visitors and media contacts to provide some pictures from the event and so we have included some images in this update.

In addition we received many enquires regarding our patented EnergySail and Aquarius MRE. We will soon be opening up pre-sales discussions regarding these technologies and will provide further details during the next few months.

Our thanks also to Teramoto Iron Works, The Furukawa Battery Company and KEI System who supported us during the event and continue to co-operate with us on many development projects.

Our display at Sea Japan included the EnergySail Test Prototype. This device is normally used to develop control system algorithms and is a small scale version of an actual EnergySail. Also on display were the automated control system for the EnergySail, a battery frame kit with UB-50-12 hybrid batteries, flexible marine-grade solar panels and the emergency battery – MgBOX.

EnergySail Automated Control System (ACS) and UB-50-12 Battery Kit for ships. UB-50-12 hybrid batteries are class approved, easily installed on ships and suitable for a range of marine applications.

The MgBOX from Furukawa Battery is an emergency battery that is activated by adding water. It can provide power to two USB charging ports and lasts up to 5 days.
