The tax rate on bunker deliveries at the ports of Constanta, Midia and Mangalia in Romania has been reduced for shipowners that engage shipping agents, sources said Thursday.

The new rate for container vessels larger than 2,000 Gross Register Tonnage is Eur150 ($167)/delivery on weekdays and Eur300/delivery on weekends and public holidays, and for those with a capacity of 500-2,000 GRT now Eur100/delivery on weekdays and Eur200/delivery on weekends and public holidays, the sources said.

Shipowners employing agents were previously charged a flat rate of Eur200/delivery on weekdays and Eur400/delivery on weekends and public holidays.
