High river recommendations rescinded
Tuesday, August 13, 2019, Mississippi River, United States

The Federal Pilots of Louisiana have advised that, as a result of the Carrollton Gage reading 11.94’ and continuing to fall, all high river recommendations have been rescinded and normal operations resumed immediately.

The high river recommendations that mooring operations requiring a line boat be conducted during daylight hours only were put in place in December 2018 due to rising river levels.
