Russia’s Novorossiisk February oil loadings set to rise 21% from January

Monday, 06 February 2023 | 13:00

Urals, KEBCO and Siberian Light loadings from Russia’s Black Sea port of Novorossiisk in February were set at 2.38 million tonnes, above 2.18 million tonnes in the January plan.

On a daily basis February oil loadings from the port will rise 21% from January, Reuters calculations showed.

Novorossisisk will also load in February some 0.28 million tonnes of crude oil from January loading plan, as two Suezmax vessels from the January schedule were carried forward to February.

This is down from 0.52 million tonnes of crude carried forward from December to January due to the weather, Reuters sources said.

Kazakhstan has changed the name of the oil it exports via Russian sea ports from Urals to Kazakhstan Export Blend Crude Oil (KEBCO) to dissociate it from oil originating in Russia in order to avoid sanction risks and issues with financing.
