OPEC member Algeria said was it was ready to carry on with its voluntary oil production cuts beyond the end of March or take further measures if the oil market required it, an energy ministry statement seen by Reuters said.
“Beyond March 31, 2024, … Algeria stands ready any time to continue this additional effort and to take further necessary measures if oil market conditions require,” the statement said.
In late November, Algeria, along with other members in the OPEC+ alliance, agreed additional voluntary production cuts for the first quarter this year.
