Ensuring FSRU Project Success To Expand LNG Import Capacity In Europe Rapidly

Tuesday, 24 January 2023 | 21:00

Since the Ukraine conflict broke out, several LNG import projects in Europe have been brought online in record time and at prices that would not have been possible without the expansion of FSRUs in the region.

At the Expanding LNG Import Capacity Europe Congress, taking place in Berlin on 28 February-1 March and available to live stream online, our panel will examine the challenges of implementing regasification strategies at sea.  To maximise the overall benefits of obtaining an FSRU for the project, the parties should examine the risks associated with the project and account for the possibility of complexity and delay from the outset.

Focussed Presentations & Discussion Include:

Dainius Sivicks, Head of LNG Business Development, KN, will speak in the session on Implementing Successful FSRU Projects, That Are Flexible & Scalable, Including Maritime Infrastructure Upgrades, Rapid Permitting, and Port Service Agreements, where we will discuss and examine

• Fast-tracking the project feasibility studies depending on maritime, technical and site conditions
• Rapidly identifying contractors for construction and operations work for the interconnecting marine infrastructure
• Minimising costs with the existing harbour facilities and considering single berth, double berth or offshore mooring
• Controlling project development costs at new locations
• FSRU procurement and chartering models – new build versus existing vessel

The Congress will also offer a Global Perspective On FSRU Conversions: Evaluating LNG Ship To Floating Storage Conversions Available For The European Market 2023 – 2026; Evaluating Conversion Capacity In Dubai For More FSRU Conversions with Chong-Ho Kwak, CEO, GAS Entec, speaking on Day 1 on The Future of FSRU Conversion Capacity at South Korean and Singaporean Shipyards.

Whether you operate an onshore terminal, aim to grow through the deployment of FSRUs or trade LNG, this event is an absolute must-attend, examining short-term and long-term possibilities for expanding the capacity of LNG import terminals, cross-border pipelines, and other vital infrastructure assets.
