Marine engineering and propulsion specialist Royston’s India agents has completed enginei electronic fuel management system (EFMS) installations.
The move sees systems supplied by Mumbai-based Blue Ridge Maritime and Energy Pvt Ltd installed onboard the offshore support vessels MV Anahita and MV Layla, which are owned and by a Singapore based company.
The scope of work involves the supply of enginei packages, featuring onboard HMI (human machine interface) and remote monitoring platforms, for both vessels to ensure compliance with IOC requirements and deliver improved operational performance.
System commissioning for MV Anahita has been completed in Singapore, while work on the MV Layla was carried out in India. Blue Ridge is providing aftersales care and technical assistance as part of a support package to ensure the operator and crews are fully familiar with EFMS systems and operations.
Offering easy-to-understand fuel data analysis and reporting options, enginei is an advanced fuel monitoring system that can be installed as part of a comprehensive suite of digital marine technologies, delivering long-term vessel efficiency and improved operational performance.
The data is displayed live through a touch screen bridge display and transmitted remotely to the enginei web portal where the state-of-the-art interface enables the rapid production of intuitive online reports and trending graphs, as well as providing alerts and map dashboard tracking with weather overlays, showing a detailed operational profile for a vessel.
An expanded-on board flowmeter, which comes with proprietary technology offering diagnostic, monitoring and verification functions according to international standards, is a key component of the installed system. This has been integrated with enginei to provide remote sensor verification and performance status without interrupting vessel operation. In addition, sensor verification is traceable and can be documented in compliances with relevant standards and norms.
Blue Ridge is developing its EFMS capabilities as an integral part of its vessel digital systems. This is to ensure compliance with customer specifications for advanced electronic fuel management capabilities, which help to deliver overall operational efficiencies and enhanced vessel management.

With over 350 vessels worldwide currently featuring enginei systems, including OSVs such as anchor handlers, jack ups, PSVs and crew boats, operating in West Africa, the North Sea, Asia, Egypt, Mexico and Brazil, fleet owners and operators in the South East Asia market are a key target for the company’s products and services.
Mumbai-based Blue Ridge’s agreement with Royston includes responsibility for providing sales, maintenance and aftermarket technical support for enginei.
Director Rajiv Biswas said the appointment as agents is already paying dividends with these two new commissions already completed.
