Christiania Energy, a privately held Danish trading company is proud to announce the establishment of its French branch and the commencement of physical marine fuel supply operations across all major French ports.
“This strategic move represents a key development in Christiania Energy's continued growth and commitment to delivering reliable, flexible, and high-quality bunker fuel solutions to our Pool Management fleet. Additionally, Christiania Energy is building on its trusted reputation by collaborating with traders, brokers, shipowners and agents to deliver top-tier services to other commercial and offshore vessels, fishing trawlers, cruises and the yachting community across the region”, says Christiania Energy's newly appointed Head of French Supply – Michael Allaire.
With a fully operational logistics setup and a dedicated team based in Southern France, the company now supplies Marine Gasoil (DMA 0.1%) via truck deliveries. Christiania Energy also offers ULSD 10ppm / EN590, with biofuels set to be introduced in the near future as part of its ongoing commitment to sustainable maritime operations.

” With the Mediterranean Sea having officially become an Emission Control Area (ECA) as of 1 May 2025, Christiania Energy is stepping up to meet the industry’s evolving demands. This strategic move not only supports compliance with the new 0.1% sulphur cap but positions us at the forefront of a market shift, as global marine gasoil demand is expected to surge by 20–30% while fuel oil use declines. With our newly established presence, we are ready to support and build new relations in the wider maritime community by meeting regulatory demands and seizing new opportunities, says Christiania Energy's Managing Director – Patrick Jørgensen.
