Last week in Rotterdam at TOC Europe 2025, IAPH launched its latest Data Collaboration Committee (DCC) product Cyber Resilience Guidelines for emerging technologies in the maritime supply chain. Co-authored by 28 experts hailing from regular members and associate members, as well as IAPH partners the World Bank and the World Economic Forum, the guidelines were developed following a survey of the membership last September at an IAPH-Mercator webinar when members and non-members alike prioritised those technologies being positively adopted that they considered posing the major cybersecurity threats at ports.
At the TECH TOC conference space on the main exhibition floor, IAPH senior manager of data collaboration and risk and resilience Chloe Rowland moderated a session on the guidelines which featured co-author Javier Garrido Salsas (Port of Barcelona’s innovation manager) and IAPH strategy and communications director Victor Shieh, and featured a remote intervention from lead author Gadi Benmoshe of Marinnovators Consulting. The guidelines are also available in Spanish, an edition that will be disseminated at several events in Central and South America, including the TOC Americas exhibition and conference in Panama later this year.
