Colombia’s oil and natural gas production fell in July compared with the same month a year ago, the National Hydrocarbons Agency said in a statement on Wednesday.
Oil production dropped 4.8% year-on-year to an average of 746,249 barrels per day (bpd), but was slightly higher than the 744,239 bpd reported in June.
Marketed natural gas production fell 16.3% year-on-year in July to an average of 1.196 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd), down 6.4% from 1.278 bcfd recorded in June.
The agency did not immediately provide an explanation for the production decline.
