Indonesia’s state-owned oil major Pertamina is seeking up to 700,000 barrels of spot high-sulphur gasoil mostly for second-half July delivery, after earlier purchases, two sources said on Monday, citing tender documents.
Pertamina’s trading arm is seeking to buy up to three 100,000-300,000 barrel cargoes of 2500ppm sulphur gasoil for delivery to Pengapon, Tuban and Kotabaru between July 17-19, July 28-30 and July 23-25 respectively, they said.
The tender closes on Monday, with offers valid up to July 10.
Pertamina so far bought up to 1.4 million barrels of 2500ppm sulphur gasoil for July delivery at premiums of up to $4 a barrel or slightly more, two other sources said.
The refiner had sought up to 6 million barrels of 2500ppm gasoil for delivery in June, Reuters records showed.
The company did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment.
Meanwhile, Pertamina is scheduled to receive more than 3 million barrels of crude at its Balikpapan refinery site in July, Kpler and LSEG shiptracking data showed, compared to zero in June and up to 567,000 barrels in May.
