Taiwan’s CPC Corp is looking to import its second jet fuel cargo for August arrival via a spot procurement tender, a document on its company website showed.
The state-owned oil giant is seeking for a 300,000-barrel cargo for delivery August 15-25, the document showed.
The tender closes on July 22, with validity till July 23.
This recent demand is due to the refiner stocking up ahead of lowered production due to planned refinery maintenance two months later, one source with knowledge of the matter said.
In early July, CPC Corp bought one 300,000-barrel cargo for delivery August 1-10 at premiums of slightly more than $1 a barrel to free on board (FOB) Singapore quotes on a cost&freight (CFR) Taiwan basis, multiple trade sources said.
