Med crude-Urals diffs stable, premiums for Azeri BTC slipped

Monday, 30 September 2024 | 00:00

Urals crude oil differentials to dated Brent were unchanged on Friday, and premiums for Azeri BTC oil slipped on weaker demand for October cargoes.

Azeri BTC oil cargoes traded at lower levels amid weaker demand. The news on Libyan crisis over leadership of the central bank solution also added pressure on the grade as traders expected Libyan oil exports to increase.

Azeri BTC oil competes with Libyan grades in Mediterranean market.

PLATTS WINDOW

SOCAR sold two cargoes of 650,000 barrels each to Saras and Eni at plus $3.25 and $2.95 per barrel to dated Brent respectively, traders said.

There were no bids or offers for Urals and CPC Blend in the Platts window on Friday.

NEWS

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on Friday that Russia has sufficient stocks of oil products – approximately 1.9 million metric tons of gasoline and 3 million metric tons of diesel, Russian state TV network reported on Friday.
