HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, the intermediate holding company of HD Hyundai specialized in shipbuilding, signed its first order in 2025 for 12 LNG dual-fuel container ships valued at 3.716 trillion KRW.

– HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering announced on January 23 that it had recently signed a contract to build 12 very large container ships with a shipping company based in Europe.

– The total order amount is 3.716 trillion KRW.

– The vessels will be built by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and scheduled to be delivered by December 2028.

– These vessels will be equipped with an eco-friendly energy source, LNG dual-fuel engines.

– HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering set its annual order target for 2025 to 18.05 billion dollars, which is a 34% increase from last year’s goal of 13.5 billion USD.
