Turkish overall oil imports jump by 22.3 percent in October

Based on data published by Turkey’s energy regulator on Thursday, the country’s overall crude imports jumped by 22.3 percent on a yearly basis to reach 4.20 million tons in October.

According to the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) monthly report, crude oil imports, the group with the largest oil import capacity, jumped by 24.2 percent in October to hit 2.89 million tons.

In October, the country imported the majority of oil and crude goods from Iraq, amounting at 1.38 million tons. Then Russia and Nigeria with 1.12 million tons and 296,525 tons, in that order.

Oil refinery goods exports jumped by 11.7 percent to 1.01 million tons, whereas procution also increased by 12.1 percent to hit 3.27 million tons in October.
