The West African crude market was awaiting Angolan state oil firm Sonangol’s term allocations for September-loading crude, traders said on Friday, while offers of Nigerian cargoes were steady.
Less than 10 cargoes of August-loading Angolan crude remain unsold, traders said. Demand for August cargoes was relatively lackluster, traders said, not least from China, because of a weak economy.
Light sweet Nigerian crude was finding support from summer demand. Qua Iboe was still offered at dated Brent plus $3.80 a barrel on Friday, a trader said.
