Turkish physical bunker supplier Unerco Petrol Ürünleri Denizcilik ve Ticare (Unerco) is “ready to offer” B10, B20, B24 and B30 blends in Türkiye, it said in a social media post.

Unerco offers physical delivery in Istanbul, Marmara, Bozcaada and Iskenderun, as well as in all Turkish Aegean and Black Sea ports, according to its website. It offers HSFO, LSMGO and VLSFO fuels delivered via barges and trucks.

The company has now been certified by the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC), which enables it to supply biofuel blends with ISCC certification.

ISCC is a global certification system that sets standards for sustainable production, sourcing and trade of many kinds of bio-based feedstocks and biofuels.

Unerco will offer B10, B20, B24 and B30 blends, where each number represents the percentage of biofuel component in the blend. B10, for instance, has 10% biofuel and 90% conventional fuel.

Biofuel bunkering in Turkey

According to the ISCC database, three physical bunker suppliers in Istanbul have obtained ISCC certification. But as far as we know, Unerco is currently the only supplier that can offer physical biofuel bunker deliveries in Türkiye as of now.
