The Kota Santos, the second vessel of the newly launched WS6 service to arrive at the terminal, was called at the terminal, and the official ceremony to welcome the service was held.
San Antonio, 30 May 2025. San Antonio Terminal Internacional (STI) celebrates a new milestone with the call of the first PIL vessel of the WS6 service. The Kota Santos vessel is scheduled for a total of 1,600 movements, distributed in 800 loading operations and 800 unloading operations.
‘The selection of STI as a key port for WS6 underlines the confidence of major shipping lines in the operational efficiency and strategic capacity of our terminal to handle large-scale services connecting global markets,’ said STI general manager Andres Albertini.

The WS6 service, which directly connects Asia with the west coast of South America, is the result of a strategic alliance between the renowned shipping lines PIL (Pacific International Lines), Wan Hai Lines, and Yang Ming Line. This route will operate on an 11-week cycle, using eleven container ships with capacities ranging from 4,600 to 8,500 TEU. The itinerary includes calls at the ports of Ningbo, Shanghai, Qingdao, Busan, Ensenada, Manzanillo, Lazaro Cardenas, Puerto Quetzal, Buenaventura, Callao and San Antonio, returning to Ningbo.
