Middle East crude benchmarks fell on Wednesday, while the market eyed tenders from Southeast Asian refiners.
Thailand’s PTT has, on behalf of IRPC, issued a monthly tender to buy sour crude loading in August. The tender will close on Wednesday, with offers valid on the same day.
Meanwhile, Malaysia’s Petronas has issued a tender to sell August-loading Labuan crude. The tender closes on Wednesday, market sources said.
SINGAPORE CASH DEALS
Cash Dubai’s premium to swaps fell by 20 cents from the previous day to 90 cents a barrel on Wednesday.
PTT will be delivering one August-loading Murban cargo to Mitsui.
A blaze at an oil depot in the town of Azov in Russia’s southern region of Rostov has been raging for more than 24 hours, local emergency services said on Wednesday.
– Iranian oil exports will continue regardless of who is elected as the next U.S. president, Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji said on Wednesday, amid concerns that a Donald Trump presidency could curb Iranian crude sales.
– Vietnam’s government said on Wednesday that it is seeking investments from Russian state oil firm Zarubezhneft in the Southeast Asian country’s green energy sector.
– Canadian government-owned oil pipeline operator Trans Mountain last week revised standards for accepting crude oil on its recently expanded system after buyers raised concerns about the crude oil arriving on the line, a regulatory filing showed.
– Russian oil producer Lukoil has shipped 366,000 barrels, or some 50,000 metric tons of diesel, to Chile’s port of Arica from the Baltic Sea’s port of Vysotsk earlier this month, Kommersant daily reported, citing data from Kpler.
