Azerbaijan’s oil output fell by 5.2% to 9.1 million tonnes in January-April from 9.6 million tonnes a year earlier, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said.
Oil exports for the first four months of the year dropped to 7.8 million tonnes from 7.9 million tonnes.
Gas exports to Europe fell to 4.0 billion cubic metres from 4.2 bcm a year earlier, the minister said. Overall gas exports declined to 8.0 bcm from 8.5 bcm.
Gas exports to Turkey fell to 3.1 bcm from 3.2 bcm, while exports to Georgia fell to 0.9 bcm from 1.1 bcm. Gas exports to Turkey via the TANAP pipeline rose to 1.9 bcm from 1.8 bcm.
