Black Sea CPC Blend oil exports to fall 17% in Oct, sources say

Friday, 20 September 2024 | 00:00

Black Sea CPC Blend oil exports via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) pipeline system are set to fall in October due to planned maintenance on Kazakhstan’s giant Kashagan oilfield, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.

Exports are set to fall to around 4.2 million metric tons or some 1.1 million barrels per day (bpd) from 4.9 million tons or 1.3 million bpd in September’s plan, three sources told Reuters.

On a daily basis, CPC Blend oil exports will decline by some 17%, Reuters calculations showed.

Kazakhstan’s energy ministry said this month that a significant reduction in oil production was expected in October due to the planned maintenance at Kashagan.
