Oil and gas condensate production in Kazakhstan in August fell by about 3% on a daily basis from July to 7.06 million metric tons, or 1.66 million barrels per day (bpd), amid power outages and maintenance works at Tengiz oilfield, according to an analytical centre at the energy ministry.
Excluding gas condensate, output in August went down to 6.04 million metric tons (1.42 million bpd) from 6.27 million tons (1.48 million bpd) in July, sources familiar with the data told Reuters.
The energy ministry did not reply immediately to a request for comment.
Kazakhstan’s output in August was below its obligations under the latest production deal between the OPEC+ group of leading oil producers.
Kazakh oil production, which accounts for almost 2% of global output, was curbed this summer by power outages.
