Black Sea CPC Blend oil exports via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) pipeline system are set to rise in November after planned maintenance on Kazakhstan’s giant Kashagan oilfield ends, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.
Exports are set to rise to around 1.42 million barrels per day (bpd) (around 5.4 million metric tons) from 1.07 million bpd in October’s plan, two sources told Reuters.
On a daily basis, CPC Blend oil exports will rise by 33% next month, Reuters calculations showed.
Kazakhstan’s energy ministry said previously that the planned maintenance at Kashagan oil field started on Oct. 7 and was set to continue for one month.
Kashagan and Tengiz are Kazakhstan’s two main oil fields, supplying the lion’s share of crude oil to the CPC pipeline.
