HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, the intermediate holding company of HD Hyundai specialized in shipbuilding, announced on September 4 (Thu) that it has recently signed a contract to build two crude oil carriers with a shipping company based in Africa.

-The total order amount is 242.2 billion KRW.

-The two crude oil carriers will be built by HD Hyundai Samho and are scheduled to be delivered sequentially by the second half of 2027.

-Including this order, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has received orders for a total of 84 ships worth 11.45 billion USD to date, achieving 63.4% of the annual order target of 18.05 billion USD (provisional).

-By ship type, the company has received orders for 5 LNG carriers, 6 LNG bunkering vessels, 8 LPG/ammonia carriers, 2 ethane carriers, 50 container ships, and 13 tankers.
