West African crude was offered at steady to higher levels on Friday as sellers hoped to capture higher seasonal demand although no deals were heard at the higher levels.
* Offers on Friday included Nigerian Qua Iboe for late July at dated Brent plus $3.50 and Angolan Kissanje for August at dated Brent plus +$2.70, a trader said. The Qua offer was 50 cents higher than heard previously.
* Some buyers are being deterred by high offers that they consider to be above fair value, given the strong Brent market structure boosting the price of prompt loading dates, a trader said.
* Congolese Djeno for August was offered at dated Brent plus 60 cents.
* About two-thirds of Angola’s August cargoes have been sold, traders said, with around 10 still available for August out of 31 cargoes listed in the loading programme.
