Cocoa arrivals at ports in top grower Ivory Coast had reached 13,000 metric tons by Oct. 6 since the start of the season on Oct. 1, down 74% from the same period last season, exporters estimated on Monday.
About 5,000 tons of beans were delivered to Abidjan port and 8,000 tons to San Pedro between Oct. 1 and Oct. 6 for a total of 13,000 tons. This compared to 50,000 tons in the same week the previous season.
