During the meeting, the battery-powered and remote-controlled new, which the Port Authority of Bilbao has provided for the Fire Service of the Bizkaia Provincial Council, will be on display.

The Port of Bilbao will be the venue for the V Congress on Occupational Health, Safety and Risk Prevention in Firefighting Services. Over the next three days, this reference event for professionals in the field of safety and risk prevention in firefighting will bring together more than 150 people from all over Spain.

The main objective of the event, jointly organised by the Bizkaia Provincial Council, the Port Authority of Bilbao and the Association for Occupational Risk Prevention in Firefighting Services, is to promote a culture of safety and risk prevention in firefighting operations, showcasing new methodologies and techniques to improve safety conditions for firefighters at work. This fifth edition has exceeded all expectations, to the point that registration has had to be closed in advance after full capacity was reached.

The programmed activities include demonstrations on the use of advanced equipment for emergency response, including one of the most advanced multi-purpose robots in the world and the first of its kind to come into operation in a firefighting service in Spain.
