Russian natural gas continues to transit Ukraine normally on its way to European markets, Ukraine’s gas transmission operator said on Tuesday amid reports of hostilities near the Russian town of Sudzha where the country’s gas flows into Ukraine.
“As of 12:00 a.m. (Kyiv time), gas is being transported to European customers as usual, without any changes. Nominations have been confirmed and the physical flow of gas is maintained,” the operator told Reuters.
The Russian MASH Telegram channel, which has contacts in Russia’s state security, said that about 100 Ukrainian fighters had tried to enter Russia in the Sudzha area.
