Greece-based Motor Oil MORr.AT said on Wednesday it had extinguished a fire which broke out a day earlier at its oil refinery in Corinth west of Athens slightly injuring three workers.
The refinery is Greece’s second largest and accounts for more than a third of the country’s total refining capacity.
It is currently operating at reduced capacity, Motor Oil said in a statement.
It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.
Motor Oil said the facility was damaged in the fire but added that the company was fully insured.
