Dutch and British wholesale gas prices edged down on Tuesday morning on stable supply and demand.

The benchmark Dutch front-month contract at the TTF hub (TRNLTTFMc1) was down 0.42 euro at 33.33 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) by 0854 GMT, LSEG data showed.

The September contract was down 0.29 euro at 33.84 euros/MWh.

The British price for August (TRGBNBPMQ5) was 1.01 pence lower at 80.50 pence per therm.

Norwegian import supply is stable. The Troll gas field is undergoing maintenance, affecting 17% of its capacity, which is scheduled to end on Thursday.

North-west Europe liquefied natural gas send-out is expected to rise by 140 gigawatt hours (GWh) to 2,021 GWh/day today due to increased send-out from France’s Dunkerque.

A total of 23 cargoes are scheduled to arrive in north-west Europe over the next two weeks, LSEG data showed.

Demand is expected to be stable. German wind output is forecast to increase for the day ahead but decline after.

Peak wind generation in Britain is forecast at 5.1 gigawatts (GW) and 3.9 GW tomorrow, Elexon data showed.

In the European carbon market, the benchmark contract (CFI2Zc1) edged down by 0.22 euro at 69.61 euros a metric ton.
