Tepsa, an independent operator of storage terminals for liquid bulk goods, has acquired a terminal in Europoort from Global Energy Storage (GES). The terminal has a storage capacity of 212,000 m³ and approximately 18 hectares of land with development potential. The location offers deep-sea access and is connected to rail and pipeline networks.
The acquisition dovetails perfectly with Tepsa’s growth strategy in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp region and contributes significantly to Tepsa’s ambitions in the field of sustainable energy storage. Tepsa already operates a terminal in Botlek, but this acquisition increases its total storage capacity in the port of Rotterdam to approximately 520,000 m³.
The Port of Rotterdam Authority welcomes Tepsa as the new owner of the terminal in Europoort and looks forward to the further development of the location as part of the energy transition.
