Russia’s natural gas production in January-February fell by 7.3% from a year earlier to 131 billion cubic metres (bcm) due to the end of supplies via Ukraine, warm weather and lower demand in certain industries, the Kommersant daily said on Thursday.
Citing industry sources, it said that the output of certain companies, mainly Gazprom GAZP, fell by 8% from the same period a year earlier to 81.5 bcm.
Russia’s total natural gas output for February decreased by 11.3% year-on-year to 57.2 bcm, including gas which had been flared, according to Kommersant.
