China’s Shenzhen Energy Group 000027.SZ has signed a long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply deal with global commodities trader Glencore.
The sales and purchase agreement was signed on July 2 after a meeting between executives from the two companies, Shenzhen Energy said in a statement on Monday, without providing further details.
Glencore declined to comment.
Shenzhen Energy previously signed a long-term agreement with BP for supplies of LNG in November 2022.
China is the world’s top LNG importer, shipping in 71.2 million tons of the fuel last year.
