The Más Familia Foundation certified the work-life balance programs developed by SAAM Towage Colombia under the Family Responsible Company (FRC) model, thus recognizing the company’s strategy to offer its more than 200 employees a workplace that enables them to balance their job with their personal and family needs, without losing sight of productivity, results and competitiveness.
The company’s country manager, Joao Paulo Marins, described the certification as “a milestone that invites us to continue improving. We are pleased with this outcome, because it reflects the hard work we have put in to provide a better workplace for all our people.”

To achieve this result, SAAM Towage Colombia researched the market, conducted a self-assessment, reviewed processes to close gaps, focused efforts and came up with this strategy, which is centered around the core values of personal and professional development, equal opportunity, quality employment and family support.
“Our objectives are very clear: we want to attract and retain the best talent, develop leadership in the organization and maintain a healthy climate with a culture of safety by conviction. Together we are building the company that we are and that we want to be in the future,” added Marins.

The Más Familia Foundation’s FRC certification has been recognized by the United Nations and the Interreg Europe program as “good practice” for promoting work-life balance management policies within companies, considering the needs of employees and offering organizations a series of guidelines to be more aware of the work environment they provide to their workers.
