W. Africa Crude-Nigerian steady as ample supply weighs

Monday, 27 May 2024 | 00:00

Nigerian crude differentials remained relatively soft on Friday although some sellers were raising offers from earlier depressed levels in the hope of firmer demand.

Nigerian Qua Iboe was offered at dated Brent plus $2 a barrel, a trader said on Friday, up $1 from levels heard earlier this week.

Ample supply and refinery maintenance, which has curbed demand, have been weighing on the Nigerian market. Nigeria’s July loading schedule is expected to emerge next week, adding to available supply.

Angola’s July schedule was issued last week.

In other developments, Niger has loaded its first crude cargo, which is heading on the Front Cascade to the Fos terminal, France, Kpler data showed.
