Indonesia’s Pertamina is seeking additional gasoil and jet fuel cargoes for June delivery after recent procurements, three sources said on Monday.
The state energy company is looking to buy at least three more 100,000-300,000 barrel cargoes of 2500ppm sulphur gasoil for delivery between June 13 and June 16 to Tuban, Tanjung Uban and Semarang.
This comes after purchases of at least three cargoes in the past two weeks, Reuters records showed.
Pertamina is also seeking four 20,000-50,000 barrel cargoes for delivery between June 5 and June 30 to Batam, Surabaya and Plumpang.
Both tenders close on May 27 with validity up to May 29, the sources added.
Separately, Pertamina said the Balikpapan refinery had a fire incident over the weekend but no casualties were reported.
It was monitoring fuel production to ensure supply will not be disrupted, the company’s statement on Saturday said.
The procurement for the cargoes was scheduled prior to the fire incident on Saturday, a Pertamina spokesperson told Reuters, without giving details.
The refiner is also seeking to buy one 200,000-barrel jet fuel cargo for delivery on June 11-13.
