Traditional suppliers of liquefied natural gas were more dependable than U.S. exporters of the super-chilled fuel, a senior official at Taiwan’s state-owned CPC Corp said on Wednesday.
“I give traditional LNG suppliers more credibility” versus U.S. LNG players, Jane Liao, a vice president at CPC, told the APPEC conference.
The comments were in response to a question on how a U.S. plan to pause pending and future permits to export LNG to non-Free Trade Agreement countries impacted the Asian markets.
