Angolan Girassol traded on Friday on the Argus Open Markets platform, opening the July trading cycle.
TotalEnergies lifted Equinor’s offer for a 1 million barrel cargo of Angolan Girassol crude loading July 9-10 on Argus Open Markets at dated Brent plus 80 cents FOB.
Angola could load around 33 cargoes of crude oil in July, according to a trader citing a preliminary loadings plan.
That is down from 34 cargoes in June’s plan.
Traders said other West African grades were stable at the end of the week.
Earlier in the week, Nigerian Bonny Light was heard on offer at dated Brent plus $1.40, and Forcados at around dated Brent plus $2.75. Angolan Cabinda was offered at dated Brent plus $1, a source said.
July trade is underway in Angola with as much as a quarter of June’s volume remaining unsold, according to one trader’s estimate on Thursday.
As much as 40% of Nigeria’s June programmes remain unsold, the source added.
