Suez has no bunker fuel oil and only limited availability of low sulfur marine gasoil, according to market sources.
There is no firm date for restocking the Middle Eastern port, sources added.
Misr Petroleum, the main bunker supplier for Egyptian ports, was not immediately available for comment.
Bunker prices at Suez tend to be quoted higher than other regional bunker market,
Platts assessed the key 380 CST grade of fuel oil flat at Suez $305.50/mt on Thursday with marine gasoil pegged at $624.50/mt.
Bunker prices for the same grades at Malta and Piraeus are currently running at around $85/mt cheaper for fuel oil and $250/mt for marine gasoil.
