Terminal Marítima de Mazatlán (Tmaz) received a new vessel loaded with live cattle, a rare operation that marks the revitalization of this type of shipment at the terminal.

This time, the shipment from Australia is carrying a total of 4,995 head of cattle, representing an increase of around 25% compared to the previous shipment one month ago.

“This type of shipment is not common, but they allow us to demonstrate the versatility of our terminal and our team's ability to adapt to the requirements of different sectors,” said Tmaz Director of Operations Francisco Quintana.

The cattle, whose final destination is the state of Durango, will be carefully transferred from the ship to specially equipped trailers to ensure their well-being during overland transport.
