Azerbaijan’s oil output fell by 4.0% to 26.5 million tonnes in the first eleven months of 2024, down from27.6 million tonnes a year earlier, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said on Wednesday.
Oil exports in the January-November period dropped to 22.2 million tonnes from 23.1 million tonnes during the same period lastyear.
Gas exports to Europe during the same periodrose to 11.7 billion cubic meters from 10.85 billion cubic meters a year earlier, the minister said.
Overall, Azerbaijan’s gas exports increased to 22.9 billion cubic meters, from 22.05 billion cubic meters in the same period of 2023, Shahbazov said.
BP’s oil production in Azerbaijan fell to 15.4 million metric tons between January and November, downfrom 16.4 million metric tons during the same period last year, the energy ministry said.
