Russian gas flows to Europe through Ukraine dip

Russian gas deliveries to Europe through Ukraine dipped on Friday in line with customer requests, while flows remained eastbound into Poland from Germany through the Russia-EU Yamal pipeline.

Nominations for flows into Slovakia from Ukraine via the Velke Kapusany border point were at 785,485 megawatt hours (MWh) per day on Friday, data from Slovakian operator TSO Eustream showed, down from around 882,239 (MWh) on Thursday.

Russia’s Gazprom GAZP.MM said on Friday it continues to supply gas to Europe via Ukraine in line with requests from European consumers.

Physical flows at the Mallnow metering point on the German-Polish border remained in an eastward direction and were at 3,772,202 kWh/h on Friday morning, data from operator Gascade showed, up from around 3,100,000 kWh/h on Thursday.

Flows to Germany through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline across the Baltic Sea were at 72,140,641 kilowatt hours per hour (kWh/h) on Friday morning, little changed from the previous 24 hours.
