North Sea Crude-WTI offered higher, others steady

Monday, 02 September 2024 | 00:00

U.S. WTI Midland crude differentials were steady on Friday after sellers raised their offers but buying interest did not follow suit, while North Sea grades were unchanged after a lack of pricing indications.

PLATTS WINDOW

* Indications are on a free-on-board (FOB) basis unless marked as cost, insurance and freight (CIF) or delivered at place (DAP).

* WTI Midland: Unipec offered and withdrew a CIF Rotterdam Sept. 28-Oct. 2 cargo at dated Brent plus $3.00, higher than Thursday’s value of dated plus $2.75. There were two other offers, one of which was the same and the other at plus $3.15.

* In the absence of higher bids, WTI Midland’s value is steady at dated Brent plus $2.75, equal to around dated plus $1.84 on a FOB equivalent basis, Reuters calculations showed.

* With no bids or offers of North Sea grades that are part of the Brent benchmark, WTI remained the cheapest grade underpinning the benchmark on Friday.
