Bunker fuels availability has improved across most ports in France, while supply is tight in the southern French ports of Lavera and Marseille-Fos, a source says.
TotalEnergies’ Gonfreville refinery in northern France started resuming operation on Tuesday as the strike action by workers waned, according to a Reuters report. This is the last of TotalEnergies’ four domestic refineries to resume production after a month-long strike.

However, trade unions have announced fresh protests from tomorrow onwards, which could impact local transport. Bunker operations in major ports are unlikely to be impacted, a trader says. But the trader simultaneously warns that product loadings from terminals could be impacted if strikes are extended.
Dockers and crane drivers in the ports of Nantes and Montoir in northern France have announced a 24-hour strike from tomorrow, according to GAC Hot Port News.
On Friday, the French Constitutional Council will announce whether the pension reform bill passed by the government is valid or not.
