Taiwan’s CPC Corp has offered a spot gasoil cargo for loading in January next year via a tender, official documents on the company’s website showed, the first such move in five months.
The state-owned refiner plans to sell at least one 300,000-barrel cargo for Jan. 1-20 loading, the document showed.
Bids have to be submitted by 11:00 local time (0300 GMT) on Dec. 6 and will remain valid until Dec. 8.
The company last sold a spot 10-ppm sulphur gasoil cargo in July that loaded in the second-half of August, according to Reuters data.
CPC Corp’s resumption in spot cargo sales could be due to higher refinery runs in December and January, after the maintenance season has ended, one of the sources familiar with the matter said.
