Friday, 22 January 2021 | 01:00

Visser van Raalte (Vivar) has entered into a long-term lease with the Port of Rotterdam Authority for leasing commercial accommodation, an outdoor site, and a quay at the RDM Campus site in Rotterdam. The leased property is part of the ‘Grofsmederij’ (hammer mill).

In the past few years, it was thoroughly renovated by the Port of Rotterdam Authority. With Vivar leasing the last part, the entire Grofsmederij is now let out to various parties active in maritime and logistic services.

Vivar has been a well-known Dutch wholesaler in ship supplies for more than 70 years now and has long had its place of business in the port of Rotterdam. In the next few months, Vivar will be preparing the approximately 8,200m² of commercial accommodation, the outdoor site of 4,600m², and the 95m-long quay for its activities. The location will serve as the new Vivar head office.
