Sea Commercial Port “Yuzhny” is ahead of schedule by 40% in July

SE STP “Yuzhny” handles 1 m and 312 thous. tonnes of cargo in July 2019, it is 40,2% more than planned (+376 thous. tonnes) and 24.8 more (+260,9 thous. tonnes) than last year. Cargo throughput is on the rise due to the vessels with ore and imported coke coal. Thus, 882 thous. tonnes is for export, 214,7 thous. tonnes is transit and cabotage cargo, 215 thous. tonnes is for import. 19 724 of railcars and 22 vessels have been handled for a month.

67% of the total cargo throughput makes up iron ore. Moreover, 160 thous. tonnes of imported coke coal, 60 thous. tonnes of mineral fertilizers, 28 thous. tonnes of grain and products of grain cargo processing have been handled.

It will be recalled that Sea Commercial Port “Yuzhny” handled 1 m and 279 thous. tonnes of cargo in June 2019, it was 33% more than planned (+314 thous. tonnes) and 16% more (+ 176 thous. tonnes) than last year.

A year-to-date total of 7,9 mt of cargo has passed through state stevedoring company, including 5,7 mt – 72,3% – is for export (ore, pig iron, nickel ore, bentonite clay and mineral fertilizers). Imported coke coal makes up 878 thous.tonnes or 75% of the total imported cargo.
