Eminox, a leading designer and manufacturer of emissions reduction technologies, is supporting renowned Norwegian engine mariniser Frydenbø in its quest for a greener maritime future.

Eminox was chosen as the sole supplier to Frydenbø to provide high-speed exhaust aftertreatment systems (EATS) due to their expertise in pioneering modular and scalable systems. Eminox is supporting Frydenbø as the business leads the way in Scandinavia to meet IMO Tier III regulations and enable more of its customers to operate in ECAs, globally. In addition, Frydenbø, as Eminox, is dedicated to finding solutions to not only enhance marine transport but also protect the environment whilst improving human health.

“We are delighted to be working with the Frydenbø team and align our common goals of finding Class Approved solutions that ensure vessels can navigate their way across global water with the highest compliance achieved,” said Anthony Greatwood, Global Product Manager, Eminox. “We are proud to be showcasing one of the exhaust aftertreatment systems (EATS) we offer for high-speed applications, which can be tailored to suit many marine and power generation applications including those with small or confined spaces.”

Frydenbø CEO Mr Per Jarle Røyrvik added; “We are working with many customers to provide engines that are fully emissions compliant, and the exhaust aftertreatment systems from Eminox are perfectly suited to our requirements. With an eye to the future, we are now working on a project that will see similar compliance achieved with Stage V Inland Waterways regulations so that we help the maritime industry achieve compliance there too.”

The first vessel to benefit from this technology is based within the fishing industry however, this technology will be rolled out across a further eight engine types giving operators a greater number of options to ensure compliance is achieved and that more industry sectors can reap the benefits associated with this.
