Reconstruction & repair for revetment at Tanjong Berlayar
Monday, September 30, 2019, Singapore

Reconstruction and repair works for the revetment at Tanjong Berlayar will be carried out from 1 October 2019 to 31 March 2020.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.094 of 2019, the works will be carried 24 hours daily including Sundays and Public Holidays, within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 1 deg. 15.988’N / 103 deg. 48.078’E
2) 1 deg. 16.005’N / 103 deg. 48.054’E
3) 1 deg. 15.957’N / 103 deg. 48.019’E
4) 1 deg. 15.704’N / 103 deg. 48.318’E
5) 1 deg. 15.899’N / 103 deg. 48.448’E
6) 1 deg. 15.932’N / 103 deg. 48.413’E
7) 1 deg. 15.900’N / 103 deg. 48.380’E
8) 1 deg. 15.882’N / 103 deg. 48.393’E
9) 1 deg. 15.766’N / 103 deg. 48.271’E
10) 1 deg. 15.955’N / 103 deg. 48.063’E

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

Repair and reconstruction work of revetment will be carried out along Tanjong Berlayar. Transportation of rocks and reconstruction works will be carried out with the use of barges, with tug boats pushing them in place. Safety boats will be deployed in the vicinity of the working area to warn other vessels of the work.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 25 (Pasir Panjang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Pasir Panjang Control on VHF Channel 25 for assistance, if required.

Due to seismic exploration in the Marmara Sea from today (30 September) until 31 October, Turkish Coastal Safety has issued the following Navigational Warnings:

Due to scientific research on Marmara Sea by R/V Tübitak Marmara, it is strongly recommended to use the temporary route inside the following traffic lanes and obey the warnings of TSVTS between Canakale and Istanbul Straits by the vessels navigating in the area at the south traffic lane between 30 Sep–31 Oct 19.
