The eastern Chinese port of Qingdao has seen robust trade with BRICS countries in recent years.
Every two minutes, one container ship traveling to or from BRICS countries would be loaded or unloaded at the port.
Customs data show that in the first five months of this year, container traffic of 830,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) was registered on the shipping routes linking Qingdao with ports in other BRICS countries.
This is an increase of 12 percent year on year, while the export volume increased by 26.1 percent.
